Pharrell Named New Creative Director of American Express Platinum Card
Music, movies, fashion, design — Pharrell Williams does it all, as the 43-year-old creative now has yet another accolade to add to his ever-expanding resume. Pharrell has just been named the new creative director for American Express’s Platinum Card.
American Express announced the news this week, saying that Pharrell will bring “his creative vision and style to inspire and guide the global experiences, access and services that the Platinum Card is renowned for providing.”
The goal for collaborating with P is to further enhance the overall Amex user experiences and events that will help propel the premium consumer lifestyle, much like he has done with G-Star RAW, adidas Originals, Billionaire Boys Club and countless other outfits.
“Like many of our card members, he’s traveled the globe, he has an amazing imagination and he loves to discover and share new experiences,” said Janey Whiteside of American Express.
In commenting on his new position with the multinational financial service corporation, Williams stated, “I’m excited to be partnering with such a globally respected brand as American Express.”
