Kristen Stewart Is Now a Music Video Director Thanks to CHVRCHES
Scottish synthpop band Chvrches have shared a new live version of “Down Side of Me” from their latest album Every Open Eye. Actress Kristen Stewart switches gears and goes behind the camera as she makes her music video directorial debut in the visuals for the track.
This new version of “Down Side of Me” is the bands contribution to a new compilation of 7” vinyl records and digital singles benefitting Planned Parenthood – aptly called 7-inches for Planned Parenthood.
Frontwoman Lauren Mayberry had this to say about the band’s contribution to the Planned Parenthood initiative:
“‘Down Side Of Me’ was not written specifically for this project but I really like how the lyrics can be interpreted in a way that supports the goal of the project as a whole. We should all be able to have faith that our governments are working in our best interests—and if they aren’t then, they should be challenged and held to account.”
